In "My GPS Just Broke", Angel Alonzo confronts the impact Covid-19 had on her personal and professional life. The animation film is a poetic search for meaning when everything shuts down.
I handled the entire CGI production solo — from concept and storyboard through to colour grading and final delivery. The process spanned weekly digital meetings across time zones (LA & Berlin), while both of us were navigating different versions of the Covid-19 lockdown. Alongside the film, we discussed political and social developments as they unfolded — a collaboration that went far beyond the screen. We included the #BLM lettering on Angel's 3D laptop as a small but deliberate statement of solidarity.
