About
Thamotion was founded in 2019 by Thamina Rastagar-O'Rourke, an Afghan-German filmmaker, producer and CGI artist.
Born in Kabul, based in Berlin.
For over a decade, she has worked in the German media industry across film, animation and visual storytelling, moving between commercial projects and artistic practice. In her current artistic practice she works in worldbuilding and fiction, exploring themes of Afghan mythology, identity, memory and diaspora.
